LREY has been very productive these days – another release announced. This time, it’s a limited edition model named Nereus. In fact, only one single pair available – First come, first served!

Here’s how LREY describes it on his Facebook post:

“The driver was initially installed in a full wooden housing, but the acoustic response did not fully reflect its resolving capability. After transitioning to an MX500 shell platform, the driver demonstrated significantly improved openness, staging, and tonal balance.

Specifications:

  • 32 ohm Diamond Film dynamic driver Tri-Frequency Equalization N55
  • MX500 with Golden Amboyna accents

Tonality:

Forward midrange with natural vocal presence and accurate timbre. Neither recessed nor overly aggressive positioned for musical engagement without coloration.

Bass Response:

Balanced and controlled. Clean sub-bass extension with mid-bass discipline. No bloom or bleed into the lower mids.

Midrange:

Clear, articulate, and forward. Excellent vocal layering and instrument body definition

Treble:

Smooth, refined and non fatiguing with controlled sparkle. Suitable for long listening sessions.
Wide soundstage, noticeable depth layering and strong instrument separation. Precise 3D imaging with clean background with good micro-detail retrieval.

For listeners who appreciate natural timbre, spatial presentation, and long term listening comfort.”
