Not so long ago, a post on Reddit reated quite a buzz: Valphonics, a talented earbud maker from Northern Ireland, claimed to have successfully designed a flathead earbud that boosts sub-bass using a Helmholtz resonator. The post even caught the eye of Sennheiser, who responded with a comment that looked remarkably like a job offer.

The retro-styled Lander 20Hz is based on the original Lander model, featuring 3D-printed shells and the same 15.4mm LCP dynamic driver, but with the addition of a resonator for enhanced bass and richer treble. This results in a V-shaped sound signature with improved imaging performance.

Lander 20Hz earbuds are available on the Valphonics website for £150.00. The set includes 3.5mm MMCX cable, 5 pairs of foam covers, and a custom-made case.
