Chinese audio brand Longyao-Yinman has just unveiled its latest flathead earbud model, the Zhenniu DG01 (甄牛 DG01), via Chinese headphone enthusiast forum Erji.net. The new model features a 15.4mm graphene dynamic driver and an aluminum-magnesium alloy unibody housing, marking a departure from the brand’s traditional wood-housing designs. The announcement positions the DG01 as a “value proposition” product, aiming to offer specifications typically found in higher-priced models at a more accessible price point.

Key elements of DG01:

  • 5µm Graphene Diaphragm: The driver utilizes an ultra-thin 5-micron graphene dynamic diaphragm. According to the manufacturer, graphene offers high rigidity and ultra-thin properties, which theoretically help suppress the split vibration common in conventional diaphragms, thereby reducing distortion. The goal is to achieve faster transient response across the full frequency range, with smoother high-frequency extension, fuller mid-range vocals, and more defined bass response.
  • Aluminum-Magnesium Alloy Shell: Rather than standard plastic (ABS/PET) housings, the DG01 features an unibody CNC-machined metal housing made of Al-Mg alloy. The manufacturer notes this choice minimizes acoustic resonance within the cavity compared to resin or plastic shells.

With a 32 Ω impedance and 118 dB/mW sensitivity, the earbud is designed to be easily driven directly by portable sources, dongles, or standard 3.5mm outputs without requiring high-gain amplification.
